WHAT IS KINN?

Kinn was created to simplify the tattoo care process and our 3 step product line is everything you’ll need to ensure you get the best out of your tattoo. Our high-quality products are focussed on prepping the skin and giving it the best care for after.

STEP 1: SKIN PREP

• The most important (and easy!) step you can take to ensure your skin is ready for your new tattoo. Our lightweight cream will hydrate your skin, optimise your skin health & integrity PLUS exfoliate away dead skin cells using a range of hero ingredients. This multi-treatment cream does it all and can be applied morning and night in the weeks and days prior to your tattoo appointment.

STEP 2- CLEANSER

• Once your new tattoo is complete, keeping it clean and free from bacteria is the number one goal. Our cleansing aftercare wash is non-foaming and contains natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and wound healing ingredients. It is safe to be used morning and night after you get your tattoo.

STEP 3- AFTERCARE

• Ensuing you look after your healing tattoo is easy with our nourishing aftercare cream. It is lightweight but potent, designed to sink into your skin instead of leaving a heavy, oily residue that just sits on top of the tattoo.

WHY IS PRECARE SO IMPORTANT?

Hydration is a key aspect of preparing your skin for your tattoo but so is your skin integrity. No matter what style or size of your tattoo, the needle will still be driving the ink into your dermis by puncturing your skin up to 200 times per second. Your artist will also be wiping and stretching your skin constantly throughout your session so having healthy skin is vital to ensuring you have the best outcome with your tattoo.

Our precare moisturiser was specifically made to cover all the required bases in order to get your skin ready for the tattoo process. We have combined potent ingredients that will hydrate and strengthen your skin PLUS we have added numerous natural exfoliating (AHA/BHA’s) ingredients to eat away any dead skin cells, leaving skin smooth, healthy and nourished.

WHY IS AFTERCARE SO IMPORTANT?

Tattoos on average take around 2-4 weeks to heal and during this time, following a proper aftercare routine will determine how well your tattoo will turn out once healed. You have to think of your new tattoo as an open wound which can be susceptible to infection if not looked after properly.

Its important to avoid dirty environments and cleaning your tattoo with a gentle antibacterial cleanser is key. Neglect can also lead to needing touch ups or worse scarring your skin, so ensuring you don’t bump, scratch and itch at the scabs is vital. Your tattoo will start to scab and itch, applying your aftercare cream AM & PM will ensure that your healing tattoo is hydrated and supported to heal the best way possible.

HOW DO I APPLY THE SKIN PREP?

Use the pump to dispense the cream onto the tattoo area and massage it in thoroughly with your hand. The amount needed will vary based on the size of your upcoming tattoo. Start sparingly as a little goes a long way. Allow the product to absorb into your skin for 5 minutes. Apply AM and PM in the days and weeks leading up to your appointment for best results. 

HOW DO I USE THE CLEANSING WASH?

Once the area is dampened, use clean hands to pump the product into your palms. Gently massage it over your new tattoo, then rinse thoroughly with water to remove any residue. Apply once daily during your shower routine. It can be used immediately after getting a new tattoo.

HOW DO I APPLY THE AFTERCARE?

Before applying, wash your hands and ensure your skin is clean. Wait 30 minutes after showering to apply the cream, ensuring the tattoo area is completely dry. Gently apply a very thin layer to the required area. Allow 5 minutes for the product to absorb into your skin. Apply AM and PM for 2-3 weeks after getting your new tattoo. We recommend starting to use our aftercare cream 24 hours after your tattoo session.
